Call or Email and tell us what you want your website for, what you want it to do, how many pages it will need and what content you are going to provide.

Can you explain website template customisation?

We customise templates by changing headings and colours and adding customer content such as text and images.

We have fixed prices for each level of customisation. The price depends on the level of customisation and the number of pages wanted in the website. We don't include E-Commerce or Flash websites in the fixed prices because there can be many variables with these types of website. However, if you only require text adding and perhaps a logo changing we may well be able to match the fixed price.

• Level 1
The most basic is where we add only your text, change headings, sub headings and colours, keeping the images that came with your chosen template.

• Level 2
The next level is where we do the same as above but also replace some or all of the images that are supplied with the template.

• Level 3
The top level is where we do the above changes and also change the page layout of some or all website pages.

Apart from changing the text, graphics and photos we can also add animation, sound, video, forms, RSS feeds, maps, shopping areas and more. If you have something else in mind, please just ask.

What is website hosting?

Web hosting is the disk space (server) your website resides on which is connected to the world wide web 24/7 and is capable of allowing many people to visit your website simultaneously without its performance being affected.

The server also needs to be safe from physical and virtual attack in order to comply with data protection acts, and keep both your own and your customers information safe.

Our hosting partner has a 99.99% up-time guarantee. Which means your website should never be offline for more than several minutes.

Customer data is protected by fully redundant firewalls with a 100 Mbps connection of individual servers within the Data Centre.

40 Gbit Connectivity allows for fast transfers at all times. The result is that more users can access and interact with your website, faster.
Backup generators, multiple hard drives, dual routers, cooling systems and gel battery power banks give real redundancy.

24/7 monitoring by Internet specialists, 150+ permanently recording video cameras, safety locks and more ensure that only authorised personnel can enter Data Centres – your data is always safe and secure.

What is e-commerce?

E-Commerce websites are for selling products or services and being able to take payment over the internet.
You may only want to sell one item or you may want to sell thousands. You may want thumbnail pictures and then larger product detail pictures. You may want a shopping cart that can be added to, or just a buy now button. There are many variables that can effect the cost of building an E-Commerce website.

Email or call us for advice and a quote. We'll advise on the best package for you once we know what your needs are. It doesn't have to cost the earth to open an online shop.

What is website maintenance?

By website maintenance we mean making changes to your website and generally keeping it up to date.

We offer different levels of website maintenance depending on your needs.

You may not want any maintenance as you don't envisage any changes to your website. In this case, if you do decide you want something changed you can just give us a call for a quote.

Or you may want your website updated by us every week/month with photos, news or events. Take a look at our packages and prices page for more on this.

What is domain name registration?

A Domain Name is the name that people type into their browser to go to your website. e.g. www.twistedmedia.eu

We buy the name for you from one of the bodies that control domain names e.g. Nominet for .UK names

Different domain suffixes are controlled by different organisations around the world. e.g. .co.uk is regulated by Nominet.

When you buy a domain name you pay for a period of years (e.g. .co.uk - 2 years) and if you want to keep it, you have to pay for another set period when your original runs out. This is because many people buy names and after a couple of years don't want it or have not used it.

What email services do you provide?

We provide email with all websites e.g. you@yourcompany.co.uk
You can have as many email addresses as you want (within reason).
If you are only having a small website we may charge extra if you for some reason want a lot of email addresses.

As standard you get webmail which you can access from any computer connected to the internet (it's a bit like Yahoo, Google or Hotmail only with your own domain name in the email address). You go to a specific website address, enter your password and username and pick up or send your email. It's simple and easy.

We also provide instructions for you to set up your email client (e.g. Outlook Express) to send and receive email from your computer.

We can send someone to set up your own computer to send and receive email if you have a problem doing this yourself. For this we will charge you an extra fee.

What is your email only service?

You may only want a personal email address with your company name e.g. you@yourcompany.co.uk and not want a website. That's fine, we can buy the domain name for you and set up the email without building a website.

You will get web based email access, which is similar to Yahoo, Google or Hotmail. You will also be able to set up your email software on your own PC (e.g. Outlook Express ) to pick up your email.

This includes the purchase of a domain name of your choice which is needed for your personalised email, even if you don't want to use it for a website.
